Vegan Burgers

super tasty, high in protein and 2 of your 5 a day !!
Recipe below ........





400g Cooked red Quinoa cooked in stock with a dash of salt and pepper.
400g Cooked red lentils well squashed and drained
400g Chic peas
(400g = 1 tin)
1 Red onion finly chopped
1 Egg (egg can be replaced with Aga Aga powder ! for vegan)
2 Cloves garlic finely chopped
1 tsp cumin
½ tsp coriander powder
1 tsp paprika
1 Hand full of fresh chopped coriander (u could use basil if you prefer)
Salt and pepper to taste.
Mash all ingredients together, I use a hand blender for the grains and then mash the other ingredients in by hand as to add texture (you don’t want sloppy hummus paste!) Shape the burgers by hand use a little lime or lemon juice if a little to dry.
Cook on the grilled pan for 4 mins to warm trough and to add grill marks.
Makes 12 !
